With Programming with Python, you'll learn the basics of programming step by step. You'll learn how to use variables, add logic with functions and loops, and how to write structured and reusable code with object oriented programming (OOP). In addition, you will work with modules and external packages and learn how to apply debugging and testing. This training is fully practical: from small exercises to a final project where you build a Python application yourself.
You start with a short introduction to the course and how you learn to program with Python step by step. You discover how the learning path is structured and what you will eventually build in the final project.
In this module, you set up your own programming environment. You learn to work with professional tools that developers use every day, so you can soon write, save and run Python code on your own.
You learn the first building blocks of Python. In this module, you work with variables, strings, operators, booleans and databases. This gives you a solid foundation for writing bigger programs later on.
Now you make your Python code smarter and more reusable. You learn how to write functions, make choices with conditionals and automate repetition with loops.
In this module, you get to know object-oriented programming, an important way of thinking in software development. You learn how to structure code with objects and classes.
You don't have to build everything yourself. In this module, you learn to work with existing Python modules and external packages, so you can program faster and more efficiently.
Programming also means finding and fixing mistakes. In this module, you learn how to understand errors, fix bugs and test your code before you use it further.
You finish the course with a practical project in which you build your own web application with Python. In this project, you show that you can combine the most important programming concepts into one working end result.
