Dreaming of a career in tech, but you don't have the financial means to study or make ends meet while studying? TechMeUp offers a unique opportunity: a student and life loan without interest. This allows you to study carefree and retrain or retrain yourself to a (better) job in the IT sector.
You only pay back what you borrow and only when you have a new job in the IT sector. This way, you also have the opportunity to retrain. Whether you're 25 or 55.
Who is TechMeUp for?
Do you have a Winc course in mind, are you motivated, but you simply cannot afford this retraining yourself? TechMeUp is precisely for people who fall by the wayside for other subsidies and for whom training without financial help is not feasible.
You are eligible if you:
- you are 18 years or older
- You are a Dutch citizen
- Or: have lived in the Netherlands for at least one year and have a valid residence permit
- You do not have sufficient (joint) income yourself and is not eligible for a commercial loan
- Motivated to retrain for a future in the IT sector
How does TechMeUp funding work?
TechMeUp is a foundation that works to give people with ambition and talent a fair chance of a future in the tech sector. By providing an interest-free study and loan, TechMeUp helps students who would not have access to a course without financial support.
We are affiliated with TechMeUp as a partner and provide the courses and training courses that prepare students for a sustainable career in IT. Together, we contribute to a more diverse and inclusive tech ecosystem, where talents from all walks of life have the opportunity to develop. The demand for well-trained IT professionals continues to grow. Through our partnership with TechMeUp, we invest directly in closing the shortage of tech talent, while preparing students for a future-proof job in a promising sector.

Are you sure about your future in tech? Sign up through the website. You only need to submit a few questions and a motivation.Fill it
2. Getting to know
Do you meet the conditions? This is followed by an introductory meeting to get to know your situation and ambitions better.
3. Studying
After admission to the course, TechMeUp ensures that the agreed amount is transferred to you or directly to the trainer on time.
4. Job hunting
After completing the course, TechMeUp supports students with training and guidance in finding a job.
5. Refund
Once you have found a job, you start repaying the loan. No interest, no extra costs — exactly the amount you received.

Practical information
How does the loan work?
TechMeUp provides an interest-free loan to students who are following a tech course and need financial support. This amount can be used for training costs or to cover your fixed costs during the study.
How does repayment work?
Once you have found a paid job, you repay the loan in installments. On average, this is 10% of your gross salary per month. Together with TechMeUp, freelancers make an appropriate agreement about the amount to be reimbursed per assignment. Most students repay their loans in full within three years.

I can only recommend it!
I followed the “UX Design with Figma” course at Winc Academy. It's a very well structured course, with lots of theoretical and practical knowledge, (with additional resources to dig deeper) that can be followed in your own pace, whenever you have time or feel like doing it. All Winc Academy students are connected via the community app where you can meet people following the same course, help each other, develop together. I am using Figma now on a daily basis, both for work and for my personal use. I can only recommend it!
Agile Project Management, conveniently arranged digitally
Winc has a nice, well-organized portal. The curriculum is also clear, with example cases, which makes the theory a bit more light-hearted. The digital system works very well, so I didn't need contact with a “physical Winc employee”. Strangely enough, I do miss that a bit afterwards. Hence not 5 but 4 stars.
One big community!
Good course material, plenty of live lessons, helpful teachers and fellow students. Slack is great for connecting with each other. Constructive criticism is always taken seriously. 1 point for improvement. The time indicated in which you can study is the same for a Newby in tech or a student who is already familiar with programming languages. Six months of Full Stack development for a Newby is too short. There may be a difference in that. This is especially important for students who follow the course through the UWV, because then time is also important.

Many parts have been covered through this course. Working with Python was challenging but the assignments were fast. Much of the logic of what Back-End does has certainly become clearer and even more fascinating.

Upgrading JS skills
For a Front End Developer, this course expands your JavaScript skills. You need understanding of coding before entering this course. When you are making the exercises it gives you power to learn more.

For people who don't have time to take a lesson, this is ideal. All courses are in English, so basic English is a must. Unfortunately, it was not indicated anywhere when registering. But everything turns out to be its own! Mentors also always answer your questions. Good luck!

I recently studied Back-End Development at Winc and it was a challenging but fun experience. The exercises and assignments were creative and engaging and provided a great learning opportunity. The mentors were nice and helpful throughout the process. Would recommend it!
A good course Cybersecurity for everyone
For me I learned a lot. There are things I didn't know about or didn't understand enough yet. Now I feel like a follow up course Ethical hacker is something that I wanne do or take more follow-up steps.

I took the 'Data Analytics with Python' course and am really excited about it! Before I started, I already had programming experience, but I learned all this myself. Through this course, I learned how to apply the 'better' methods from experienced programmers. All in all, very happy with the course!
