With Haaglanden Leert Door, residents of the Haaglanden region can apply for a training voucher and retrain to a promising profession free of charge. Requesting a voucher goes via the Haaglanden Learning Desk. Once your application has been approved, you can immediately start training at Winc Academy.
To make use of the training voucher, you must meet three conditions. This program is especially intended for people who want to retrain to a promising profession, but need financial support.
This means that you are officially registered in one of the following municipalities:
The scheme is available to adults who fall within this age range.

You know which study is right for you: check! To qualify for the training voucher, there will be another interview with a training advisor from the Haaglanden Apprenticeship Desk.
When your application has been approved by the training advisor, you apply for the subsidy yourself from the municipality of The Hague; even if you live in Rijswijk, Delft, Midden-Delfland or Westland.
As soon as you have approval from the municipality, we will be notified and you can immediately start your IT training.
With the ESF+ grant, the European Union is helping to make workers with an insecure work position and job seekers more digitally skilled in order to strengthen their employment position.
This budget is specifically aimed at the target group as mentioned above. To make use of the budget, you must fall into at least one of the groups.

I followed the “UX Design with Figma” course at Winc Academy. It's a very well structured course, with lots of theoretical and practical knowledge, (with additional resources to dig deeper) that can be followed in your own pace, whenever you have time or feel like doing it. All Winc Academy students are connected via the community app where you can meet people following the same course, help each other, develop together. I am using Figma now on a daily basis, both for work and for my personal use. I can only recommend it!
Winc has a nice, well-organized portal. The curriculum is also clear, with example cases, which makes the theory a bit more light-hearted. The digital system works very well, so I didn't need contact with a “physical Winc employee”. Strangely enough, I do miss that a bit afterwards. Hence not 5 but 4 stars.
Good course material, plenty of live lessons, helpful teachers and fellow students. Slack is great for connecting with each other. Constructive criticism is always taken seriously. 1 point for improvement. The time indicated in which you can study is the same for a Newby in tech or a student who is already familiar with programming languages. Six months of Full Stack development for a Newby is too short. There may be a difference in that. This is especially important for students who follow the course through the UWV, because then time is also important.
Great to learn how to program at your own pace and from home. With lots of great teaching materials and assignments.

Many parts have been covered through this course. Working with Python was challenging but the assignments were fast. Much of the logic of what Back-End does has certainly become clearer and even more fascinating.

For a Front End Developer, this course expands your JavaScript skills. You need understanding of coding before entering this course. When you are making the exercises it gives you power to learn more.

For people who don't have time to take a lesson, this is ideal. All courses are in English, so basic English is a must. Unfortunately, it was not indicated anywhere when registering. But everything turns out to be its own! Mentors also always answer your questions. Good luck!

I recently studied Back-End Development at Winc and it was a challenging but fun experience. The exercises and assignments were creative and engaging and provided a great learning opportunity. The mentors were nice and helpful throughout the process. Would recommend it!
For me I learned a lot. There are things I didn't know about or didn't understand enough yet. Now I feel like a follow up course Ethical hacker is something that I wanne do or take more follow-up steps.
