Sounds almost too good to be true, right? But it really is possible.
Through the SLIM program, training spots are available for people looking to develop skills for high-demand jobs. As part of this initiative, Winc Academy offers the IT Service Desk Specialist course.
If your application is approved, the training costs will be covered by the program. This means you don't have to pay for the training yourself.
There is a limited number of spots available for each round.

Perhaps you are currently working in a completely different sector. Maybe you have been looking for something new for a while. Or perhaps you find IT interesting, but you are not sure where to start.
Then this could be a great first step.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
✓ are 18 years or older
✓ have not yet reached retirement age
✓ live or work in the Netherlands
✓ are motivated to retrain for a career in IT
No IT experience? No problem. This training program is specifically designed for people at the start of their IT career.
Reserving a spot doesn't mean you're suddenly committed to a program tomorrow. First, we'll look together to see if everything is a good fit. Here is how it works:
1. Reserve your spot
Leave your details via the short form
2. Attend the group intake
We will explain how the program works and what we need from you.
3. Complete your application
Ready to move forward? Then we will finalize your official application and file.
4. Start your program
Once your file is approved, your enrollment is confirmed and you can get started.

The ESF+ National Training Grant is an initiative of the European Union within the ESF+ 2021-2027 programme. The aim is to promote digital skills and offer people with a vulnerable labour market position more opportunities for sustainable work.
As an IT Service Desk employee, you are often the first person someone calls when technology isn't working as it should.
You figure out what is going on, help users move forward, and learn to resolve issues calmly and clearly. During the training, you will practice with situations you will encounter at a service desk.
The training consists of 200 study hours, is entirely online, and is available in Dutch and English. Personal guidance is included. You will also receive the ITIL® 4 Foundation training, including an exam voucher.

The first start date is August 24th. After that, there will be multiple opportunities to join. Since available training spots are allocated per group, it's wise to express your interest early. This way, we can work together to find the start date that best fits your schedule and prevent you from having to wait unnecessarily for the next group.
The IT Service Desk Employee training program is classified at NLQF level 3. This level is comparable to MBO level 3 and indicates the knowledge and skill level you will develop during the program. The NLQF (Dutch Qualification Framework) makes training programs more comparable and provides employers with better insight into the achieved level.
Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate from Winc Academy.
Additionally, you will prepare for the official ITIL® 4 Foundation exam. An exam voucher is included with this course.
